Oracle Card Reading for Year 2011

Greetings and Merry wishes of a Happy 2011!

Because its a new year, because many of us felt tonight a wonderful vibration wrapping our beloved planet, entering our solar plexuses, our heart chakras and even our third eye, because there is this amazing new energy everywhere bringing us a renewed sense of joy and happiness, the first reading of the year could not be more accurate.
From the Oracle of magical Mermaids and Dolphins, the draw was WORTHINESS- Know that you deserve to receive good in all ways.

I have to enfasize this last part. We deserve to receive good in ALL WAYS!!!
Most times, due to deep-seated beliefs that we don´t deserve, we block our own manifestations. Manifestations are not rewards for good behaviour but instead are effects of our thoughts , beliefs, feelings and actions. When we allow ourselves to receive, we help with God´s plan to demonstrate love everywhere.
Accepting Heavens help is about allowing ourselves to be helped so that we can also help others. This year, make a commitment to accept good graciously by affirming: "Thank you for the gifts that have come to me now. I gratefully accept them for the good of all".

Have a wonderful year my dears and may the Light shine upon you always.
Love and Light

Good morning everyone!
Yes i have been away. But am back with an Oracle reading for the week. And yes I know its Wednesday but my intention was really to do a reading that would cover this festive season.
From the Oracle of Saints and Angels, Forgiveness was the card our guides have drawn for us.
Forgiveness symbolized in this Oracle in the figure of Mary Magdalene, telling us the answer to our question(s) involves letting go of resentment, judgemnt and anger.
" You already know who or what to forgive. It's the first person or situation that comes to mind. You don't necessarily have to pardon the action involved, but this card is a message for you to releasethe toxins of anger towards the person, agency or situation. Unforgiveness only hurts you, not the person with whom you are angry.
You are preparing for a wonderful new chapter of your life, and forgiveness is part of your preparation. It is a refreshing and deeply healing shower of love that cleanses you inside and out. This gives you energy, stamina, high self-esteem, and it frees you to be yourself. Call upon Mary Magdalene to help you to forgive or be forgiven so that you can move on with your life and your dreams."

Could not be more appropriate that at the time where the whole cristian world celebrates the birth of Christ that Forgiveness would be the motto for the season.
Love and light

Overcoming Darkness

As stated in Star Wars, the Dark Side of the Force is not only tempting, but so much easier. But why is it easier to be dark? Because it is the path of least resistance (at least on the surface). This path requires no work and seems to hail much higher rewards, because there are many more like-minded individuals by one’s side. It is easy to engage in self-loathing, bitterness, anger, wrath and self-victimization, and even easier to remain in a lovely bubble of denial and illusion. I would almost say that “dark” is the default mode of human beings, because by design we are wired to choose the path of least resistance, to exercise power over those we perceive as weaker and seek out those who support us in our illusions. We are herds, in which the most persuasive pack leaders form the opinions of the followers. This is also how wars are fought, how dictators succeed, how kings ruled and how atrocious crimes are committed.

The path of “light,” on the other hand, wards no quick successes. It requires hard work, constant reflection and self-awareness; being open-minded and -hearted and always trying to grow, while seeking out truth. There is nothing quick or easy about it. The individuals traveling on this path are much harder to find, don’t usually flock together and hardly ever travel with the herd. Unfortunately, they don’t really stand out that often, either. They are usually unnoticed, because they are not that driven by ego; hence, they are not the squeaky wheels who make the most noise or appear/dress the loudest. And lastly, they don’t really claim enlightenment, certain abilities or status, because there is no need for that (think of the Dalai Lama, Ghandi or Mother Theresa). They carried/carry a light so big that it requires no explanation at all.

I cannot claim enlightenment and I am certainly not even close to a Dalai Lama or Mother Theresa. While I have tried from childhood on to travel the path of light, I have often failed and still at times fail miserably. When one is born and raised surrounded by darkness, it is very difficult to not let it become part of your being. We take on the attributes of that which surrounds us most of the time. This is what creates cycles that continue throughout generations. This is also why “like-minded individuals” attract each other.

My darkness consisted of fear, sadness, anger and regret. I had no ability to let go. The pain, anger and fear I carried would make me swing wildly from being extremely strong and self-sufficient, to completely needy and weak. Life felt like one large sprint. I would run at 200 mph, then crash and burn, crawling at snail’s speed. I would learn certain lessons at the speed of light, jump from one level of evolution to the next within a week, and then not get other lessons at all, plateauing for years without any movement.

How did I get out of this hole and off the path of self-destruction? I guess it started with replacing the dark parts with light parts. I still had my ability to instinctively recognize light, so I would try to seek it out. The more I found examples of those traveling that path, the more I wanted it for myself. I wanted the peace of mind they seemed to sport. I wanted the joy and balance they seemed to experience most of the time, no matter what was thrown at them. I re-evaluated who I was all the time, and never stopped. I found some people who served as role models and kept me straight. After a while I knew when I was dwelling on the wrong side and when I was not.

It’s like learning to play the guitar. When you first start out, you can’t really hold a tune, your fingers cramp and bleed, and you are pretty far from making actual music. But the more you practice, the easier it becomes, until one day you are playing songs. The path of light for me is like learning the guitar. At times I still strike the wrong cord and my song sounds more like nails over a chalk board. My fingers are hurting and cramping and there are times when I want to give up, because “I’ll never be able to play like a true artist.” The work is miserable too. I spend hours practicing my new found skills in everyday life, while desperately trying to not fall back into my old ways, which are still very ingrained and persuasive. I read a lot again; medidate a lot, talk to those on the same light path a lot.

In order to keep on the path, I had to shed some of the baggage that was keeping me in the dark, and there was nothing easy about that either. It was painful and difficult and wanted to make me give up more than anything else. Letting go of old ways and people who no longer served my well-being was heart-breaking. As I said in the beginning, it is heart breaking to have to let go of anyone or anything.

I still second-guess myself a lot. Courtesy of my old wiring. I still want to rekindle old friendships with people who have hurt me, walked out on me, betrayed me or simply were really shitty friends. I still loop at times about these individuals, re-feel the pain and blame myself for their behavior. However, these incidences have become less frequent.

Doing the right thing and staying on the right path is hard work, and yet it has been the most rewarding journey thus far. It is said that ignorance is bliss. This might be true on some levels. It turns out, though, that there is more bliss to be experienced when one is actually aware, instead of ignorant.

Our Guides Message

Last week a very dear and special friend came to visit. Little did I know when I heard of his coming that it would prove to be such an eventfull week.
I found myself sharing spiritual experiences with someone I thought had no inclination towards such subjects, and moreover learning from him.
And then I thought, lessons may come from everywhere. From the ones we expect to the ones we really don´t.
Having this in mind, I asked my Guides for a message. One I could keep in my heart and share with you.
They were prodigal in their reply. My Guides answered with Appreciation, a card from the Ask Your Guides oracle deck.
Appreciation for what may you ask?! Appreciation for our/your Divine Helpers. Those the Universe sends our way to help us.

Help us realize NOW is an important time to contemplate our place in the world. Pay attention to our influence on others, noting we are a part of a big community. Recognize our interactions with those around us, and respect the fact that no matter how well we may succeed on our own, we must still depend on others in a myriad of ways for our confort and security.

Our Divine Helpers are present to remind us to appreciate our fellow human beings and take nothing for granted. Recognize our need for others and the unspoken gifts they share with us. Move beyond our self-interests right now, and participate in a common effort. Ask ourselves how we might contribute to the greater good.

Our Divine Helpers message: "Be responsable for your part in the great scheme of things"

To my friend I thank and extend my love and blessings.
To all, may this be a blessed week.
Love and light

Dispelling the Darkness

Diwali: Dispel the Darkness

With the Sun shining blissfully upon us this morning, I was reminded of when I went to India two years ago. When we arrived the whole city was lit as a giant candle, There was dancing on the streets and joy and laughter. We had landed in the middle of the Diwali.

Diwali, also known as Deepavali, means rows of lights. It is a festival of lights! It is a four to five day festival celebrated in India and Nepal, and usually coincides with the monsoons ending. Celebrants light millions of small clay lamps throughout their home and in the streets, and give offerings to Krishna, Vishnu, or Rama. They wear new clothes, and draw elaborate rangolis, drawings made out of sand, outside their homes.

Lighting of the lamps symbolizes the dispelling of darkness and ignorance, good triumphing over evil, and illuminating the joy in our lives. Firecrackers are lit to sound off to the gods that we are enjoying life’s abundance. It is also rumored that the smoke of the firecrackers has a more mundane use – it kills the bugs and insects that are abundant after the monsoons.

People gamble at this time because it was said that the Goddess Parvati gambled with her husband, Lord Shiva. She decreed that anyone who gambled at this time would have a prosperous new year.

Each region in India and Nepal dedicates days to a variety of gods, goddesses, and even the sacred cow. Much of the lore revolves around stories of good triumphing over evil, insight dispelling ignorance, and love and wisdom prevailing.

In one story that is central to Diwali, Lord Vishnu battles King Bali. King Bali sought great power, and performed immense sacrifices and ceremonies to obtain this power. Lord Vishnu grew concerned that the power would corrupt Bali. Lord Vishnu confronts Bali, and shows him how ignorant it is to reach for such power. Bali is banished to the underworld, with only one day of freedom each year. On the longest night, Bali rises from depths to light the millions of lamps to dispel the darkness and ignorance.

The final day, Yama Dvitiya, honors the bond between brother and sister. On this night, sisters invite their brothers to dinner in remembrance of another epic story about Yama, the lord of death, and his twin sister, Yami. It is believed that Yama and Yami were the first people on earth, and there was only daylight. The night sky and stars were hidden. The brother and sister deeply loved each other, and enjoyed an eternally blissful life until Yama dies. Yami is so heartbroken that no one, not even the gods, can console her. Because the day is eternal, so is Yami’s grief for her brother. To help end her grieving, the gods created night. With the dawning of each day her grief lessened, and she was able to honor the life of her brother.

Enjoy this time as a period of starting fresh, look for where ignorance lies blindly in your life, and illuminate the joys around you.

Brightest Blessings,

Ana

When our Soulmate Opts Out

When our Soulmate Opts Out

Very few things are as painful emotionally, for men and women alike, as losing (or never consummating) a relationship with someone you feel is a soul partner. Autumn brings back this sense of emptiness, like if a part of our souls will never be ours again. From crying ourselves to sleep when night comes , to walking like zombies through the day, each step reminds us of the one we lost.

And it doesn’t seem to matter whether you recognized the other person as a soul friend, soul mate, or some other kind of soul partner… the fact is, if you have the unshakeable conviction that the purpose the two of you share is unfulfilled, then it seems impossible to let go.

If you find yourself hearing and even agreeing with loving advice and even harangues from friends and family about letting go – and still not being able to let go! – take heart. You can and will heal and move on.

In order to find your way through to healing in these cases, it’s essential to work on it at a soul, not a personality, level. This is important for several reasons.

First, if you’re approaching this on a soul level (see below for one method) you won’t interfere with anyone’s karma or free will.

Second, since the agreement was originally made on a soul level, it can only be fully understood on that level.

And third, since your Soul or Higher Self will be your mediator, it gives you absolute freedom and safety in which to express all your feelings, the high and the low, the murderous and the weepy, the vengeful and the compassionate.

Soul Level Mediation

In the following meditation, your two souls communicate with each other on behalf of their respective people. Then the souls “repackage” the information and insights and compassion they exchanged, and give it to their individual people in whatever form is most effective, whether it’s in dreams, or gut feelings, or signs, or as clear messages during the session.

To prepare for the meditation, create a quiet space, and place two chairs facing each other. As you do this visualization, remember that the more senses you use at each stage, imagining or feeling sight, sound, taste, touch, feeling and intuition, the more parts of your brain are activated, and the more effective the meditation and its outcome will be.

Sit in one chair, and imagine your soul partner sitting in the other. Visualize your Soul as a star high over your head, and that a beam of light connects your Soul to you, shining down through the top of your head, through your body, and down to the core of the earth. Then imagine your soul partner has the same connection with their soul star. Then complete the “grid” by sending a beam of light from your soul star to the other soul star.

Next, give it all to your Soul, everything, the good the bad and the ugly. Cry if you need to, or scream, but let it all hang out! Then sit quietly while the souls commune. And expect the unexpected, from having the soul partner imagined in the other chair actually converse, to having them call on the phone at the end of the meditation.

You can do this meditation as often as you like, and you should do it two to three times at a minimum. If you’re willing to invest even a tenth of the time into your healing process that you’ve spent feeling miserable, you will not only be able to determine whether or not it’s time to move on – and then do it if need be – you’ll also have found closure in the process.

The "Real" Law of Attraction

The "Real" Law of Attraction
There are so many books promising love, success, money, fame and fortune, if we only follow the rules of these two laws. Given how much material can be found on these topics, one would think that a lot more of us would be a lot more successful. This is because all of these “proven methods” don’t mention a few things that will not only drastically change the outcome, but actually leave you in the exact same spot you found yourself in before you read the book, minus whatever money you spent on the “proven method.”

The Law of Attraction

Wouldn’t it be great if we could all find the love of our lives, our soul mate and life mate, by just following the instructions of a book? Oh, how we hope… and each time another discovery is made that tells us that this is now the real way of finding true love, because new scientific discoveries, as well as ancient truths from a magical book hidden under a rock in the Sahara desert, which carbon dated back 5,000 years ago, are definitely going to work… even for you!

The Law of Attraction does work! But what most “experts” fail to share is the minor detail that you attract who you are, and what you think of yourself! You just have to believe—and, of course, you have to know that you deserve. Just keep repeating the mantra of “I deserve.” It might actually finally get stuck… and backfire!

Why, you ask? A person with low self-esteem, a person who is negative and down on themselves, will usually not suddenly become confident by reading a book, period. Yes, everything is possible, but not by sitting on your butt and doing nothing! Changes require work, and usually hard work! So a person without a shred of confidence will usually repeat the mantra, but take it to a completely new level of extremism. This is when they start telling the whole world “darn it, I do deserve!” The previously sad rants then turn into narcissistic statements of how great they are… and how, sadly, no one recognizes it. Meanwhile, the love they are so desperately seeking stays hidden, because now they sound like desperate and still insecure tools, versus just being downers before.

If we are broken, we will usually attract others who are broken. If we are superficial, we will attract another, who is also superficial. The whole myth of opposites attracting is true for about one minute. Usually, opposites will drive each other crazy in the long run, and do not work out. And when I mean opposite, I mean truly opposite in character and being. Not something lame like different tastes in music or food!

Attracting true happiness has to always start with oneself and the willingness to grow, which means change. I’m a firm believer in therapy, but there are other ways as well. In order to attract what truly makes you happy, you have to first learn to be happy with yourself, knowing who you are and what you really want. Only when you know these things will you know what you truly deserve, without having to blast it from the rooftops.

The Law of Abundance

The same principal listed above also applies for this law. Hence, it is pretty difficult to achieve abundance! For example, when I lost my job, it was pretty hard to sit around and say to myself “don’t worry; you have abundance in your life. You’ll find something and you won’t lose everything you own over it.” The more time that went by, the harder it was to be “positive.” But I knew that if I started panicking or appearing desperate in job interviews, I’d just make my situation worse. But this is where it came in handy that I had done at least some of the work! I did know what I was worth and who I am, even though my foundation had become a bit shaky. I simply would not accept defeat. The thought of losing my home, my car or everything simply didn’t get any power from me. Oh yes, these thoughts occurred, but I would immediately stop myself in my tracks and do something productive, like writing. For some strange reason, maybe because I grew up in such poor conditions, money has not been a source of anxiety or fear in many years. Not because I am so well off, but because I won’t give power to the fear. And while I never became rich, I always had a roof over my head (a nice one), money to pay my car, buy clothes and eat the food I want.

The thing that no one likes to hear is that the life we are living is an immediate result of who we believe we are and what we think is possible. To become this person of Zen, the person who attracts others, in business and personal life, the one with the great friends, the nice things and the happy relationship, and the one who truly feels at peace with themselves and the world, one has to be willing to pay the price. And the price is work.

But I kept my eyes on the prize, and after a while it became a little easier. I started to attract completely different people and situations. But then, I no longer see myself the same way I did a mere year ago, not to mention two or three years ago. I can’t quite describe it, because I am still the same person—and yet, I am completely different. I can do and say things now that I never thought possible. With each passing day, the “new” me is getting stronger, while the old tapes in my head are slowly being overwritten and erased.

I do believe that both laws are accurate and will work. But I never thought it would take that much hard work, dedication and will power to make them happen.

Cutting Energy Cords

Cutting Energy Cords

Energetic cords are lines of psychic energy which connect you to the people in your life. When relationships become unhealthy or abusive, they can become troublesome – if you’re trying to get somebody out of your life who you feel is draining you, and you can’t seem to shake them, often finding your mind drawn back to them and awash in negative feelings – you might be said to be “corded.” Some lightworkers were asked what is the best way to deal with energetic cords:

“Cutting energetic cords is very simple to do,and it can truly restore health and vigor. It may even heal what ails you. It will give you back all of the glorious potential your life has always represented. Cutting energetic cords is something that I have had to do many times. Sometimes the reasons are not even due to negativity, but rather to remove a deep sense of loss and sadness.

“It’s not that I needed to cut out the negativity. Nor did I wish to undo those strong bonds of love. What I needed was to gain a happy spirit again. Cutting cords was necessary to move on with my own life. Sometimes this is very hard to do when someone is missed so terribly. Yet, it can be done. The relationship with loved ones is not over, though knowing one another in the ‘ether’ is very different than a relationship in the physical present. The cords I had to cut were tethers of emotional sadness that often accompany a forced change when a partner, beloved family member, friend or pet departs.

“With belief, this can be a rather easy thing to do. I approach it as if it were a spiritual ceremony. I light candles to quiet an active mind. I breathe deeply and try to achieve a state of calm. When I’m ready, I ask for help and understanding. I ask for cooperation from Spirit and the loved one from whom I am trying to separate. I picture the cord in my mind, reaching out into space, still firmly attached to my target. Sometimes, with lots of affection in my heart, I picture it as a beautiful piece of ribbon. I hold it with my left hand and thank Spirit for all of our rich experience together. They, I purposefully pick up a big pair of imaginary shears and quickly cut the cord. The sense of relief is generally immediate.

“This practice can be used for many different scenarios. You may wish to separate for all time from an abusive relationship. There may be jealous coworkers about who always try to sabotage your best efforts. There could have been a nagging, harping relative who told you that you would never amount to anything. It is perfectly alright to walk away from anyone who intends you harm. It is also absolutely okay to cut the cords that bind you to another’s negative opinion of you, a painful memory or a difficult and energy-draining tug of war. You can tweak the imaginary process in any way that you choose.

“We are so good at creating negativity all by ourselves. It may surprise you to know, you can just as easily remove it for all time.”

“The best way to cut energetic cords is NOT TO CUT THEM! If you just cut, then you leave dangling ends attached to you and to the person at the other end, ends which can (and often do) reattach easily.

“The best way to remove unwanted cords is to gently pull them – by the roots! – from your energy field, and then from the energy field of the other person. Next, bundle up the removed cord and use any technique you like to send the energy back to the Universe to be neutralized and recycled.

“I often work with cords when I do readings, using exactly the technique I described above. However, I’d rather teach callers to be alert for cords themselves, especially negative cords or ones which are attached anywhere other than your throat, heart or second (sacral) chakra, because those can be problematic.

“It also helps to be able to recognize the nature of the energy in a cord, and therefore the cord’s intent … whether you can see it clairvoyantly, or feel discomfort in your body, doesn’t matter. It’s the awareness that counts, and then using just a bit of care when you disconnect.”

What are your favorite ways to cut energetic cords?
Would love to hear form you

Cosmic Consciousness: Chakra 7

Chakra 7 – Cosmic Consciousness - Sahasrara – (Thousandfold)

Element: Thought

Function and Purpose: Understanding

Obstacle: Attachment

Balanced Inner States: Crystal-clear perception, awakened and aware, intelligence, spiritually connected to Source, thoughtful, wisdom.

Unbalanced Inner States: Apathy; general and spiritual, disconnected from Source, rigid views and beliefs, confusion, materialism, greed, ruling and controlling of others.

Location: Top of the head

Color: Violet

We have now reached our final destination in the chakra system: the crown chakra. We started by planting our roots deep into the rich soil of the earth, creating stability and a solid foundation for ourselves. Next, we moved into the flowing, life-giving waters of our sacral chakra where we learned to balance and express our emotional and sexual natures in a healthy, balanced and dynamic way. We then entered the brilliant fires of transformation and personal power in the solar chakra, boosting us into the lush, green gardens of our hearts, enabling us to love unconditionally and begin our ascent into the realms of spirit. From our hearts, we grew into the blue skies and magnificent symphony of our throat chakra – the gateway to creativity and clear communication, where we climbed higher into the spiritual realm and into our third eye, developing our intuition, perception and psychic abilities and now, ascending to the the highest realm of spiritual connection, our seat of enlightenment and understanding.

Our 7th chakra, or crown chakra, holds the entirety of the chakra system which connects us to the universe of true source – the final step in ultimate spiritual liberation and the seat of our essential being. It is our true self which is beyond the confines of ego and reason and can only be experienced.

This is where we perceive the ultimate consciousness of the meaning and understanding of the interconnectedness and order of all things, essentially, it is the source of enlightenment.

The crown chakra, having its element as thought, is associated with the mind. It is the storehouse of all our belief systems and the matrix from which we create our own realities. These realities can be likened to a Shakespearean tragedy or the comedy of our modern-day jesters. Whether our lives are played out as a comedy, tragedy, or a satirical play, we are the stars and creators of our own living masterpieces. This is the power of the 7th chakra.

To create and manifest our individual realities, we must first have consciousness which has various layers and functions. But without any type of somewhat developed consciousness, our connection, transformation and powers of manifestation are severely limited and unlikely without awareness – the ability to silently and passively witness our thoughts and the inner workings of our minds. Through the development of our 7th chakra and awareness through meditative practices, we are able to join both the infinite and finite consciousness, bringing forth transcendence and ultimately, enlightenment.

Consciousness

Consciousness in terms of our crown chakra, as well as all spiritual aspirations, can be broken down into two types: Perceptive Consciousness – finite consciousness limited to the physical, material world, and Absolute Consciousness – infinite and universal consciousness of the eternal.

Each of our chakras has its own unique layer of consciousness, with our roots representing the dense, physical and material realm of manifestation, and our crown representing the realm of our spiritual consciousness and its ethereal manifestations.

When working your way up the chakra system starting from the root up to the crown, you are engaging the consciousness of spiritual liberation and manifestation – when working downwards from the crown to root, you are opening the channel of the physical, material consciousness and manifestation. However, in today’s world the primary focus has been on spiritual manifestation and largely ignoring the physical and material aspects. But this is a highly imbalanced practice. Spiritual and physical consciousness are both equally important and share a symbiotic relationship. It’s only by opening our crown chakra that we are able to merge the perceptive and absolute consciousness that we are able to manifest ourselves as spiritual beings having a human experience.

Soul Agreements

Their blessings and challenges

Many spiritual teachers say that every person's soul purpose is nothing more--and nothing less--than to experience joy, expansion and the growth of wisdom and compassion, lifetime after lifetime. Exactly how that joyful expansion and growth are accomplished, however, is up to each individual, evolving soul.

It's important to remember that there's a big difference between soul purpose and life purpose. Your soul purpose is conceived of and directed by your eternal self, your Soul, and usually unfolds in stages that can last several lifetimes. You could call each stage the Soul's "current mission." Your life purpose, on the other hand, is basically a set of goals and objectives which were developed by your Soul specifically for this present incarnation, with the intent of furthering your Soul's current mission.

And when you, as your Soul, sit down at the Big Conference Table in the Sky to plot out your next lifetime's goals and objectives, you're not alone. With you are usually many members of your soul family, individuals who have traveled with you through several lifetimes, or a few, and who join you in plotting an intricate web of interconnecting life threads, encounters that will assist or challenge you, and them, to make the most of your coming incarnation.

Together you plan when and where you'll meet. You cheerfully build in obstacle courses and synchronicities to keep things interesting. You decide on gifts and difficulties for your individual personalities, and whether you will take the role of friend, lover, family, Spirit Guide--or even enemy--this time around. And just to keep things suspenseful, you give each Soul's incarnated personality the free will privilege of "opting out" of any Agreement, at any time, perhaps with karmic consequences, perhaps not, depending on how you make your choices, and why.

Your Soul Agreements are the result of all this creative brainstorming among Eternal Beings. And, while it's is not true for everyone, many people discover that nearly every one of their important relationships has a Soul Agreement.

There are a number of ways to recognize the existence of a Soul Agreement in a relationship, although the specific parameters of the agreement aren't always so easy to pinpoint. Always, the relationships are intense and full of meaning. Usually, when you meet there's a sense of recognition that's irresistible, and that can be misinterpreted by your personality or ego, especially when the possibility for romance exists. Often the relationship has built-in challenges or obstacles that require effort and commitment to overcome. Conversely, it can be so easy in the beginning that when obstacles do appear, it's shocking, and can cause the relationship to collapse.

What if the parent or sibling who caused the most difficulty and heartache in your youth is actually a friend from prior lifetimes, one who agreed to take on the unpleasant task of helping you build your emotional and spiritual strength through challenge? Or to help you to balance karma by learning to treat them, in all their awfulness, with forgiveness and unconditional love?

Or perhaps you and another member of your soul clan will decide to spend a few lifetimes meeting and loving, but unable to find your way to happily ever after. Perhaps this choice will help you each develop your capacity for faith, your trust in the long-term, many-lifetime promise of consummated love, or your ability to give and receive wholehearted, unconditional love in spite of conditions. Or so that at least one of you will be forced to develop self-reliance or the ability to commit fully to the greater good of spouse and children rather than personal gratification.

It's not always easy to divine the intent behind Soul Agreements, especially the ones that are painful, usually because when you're focused on the personality level, you lack the necessary perspective. But your Angels and Spirit Guides can often help you at least understand what your Soul wants you to learn from the experience. Astrology, numerology and psychic readings can also help.

When you look at each of your relationships as though they contain a Soul Agreement, you get a whole new perspective about the purpose and meaning of what's happening between you. When you look at it from a Soul perspective, even when you haven't figured out the details of a particular Agreement, suddenly things become less personal, the drama that accompanies personality conflicts dissipates magically, and you are freed to learn the things that your Soul had in mind when it created the Agreement before you were ever born.

Chakra 6 – The Third Eye - Ajna - (To Perceive)
Element: Light

Function and Purpose: Sight, perception, intuition, visualization, imagination

Obstacle: Illusion

Balanced Inner States: Strong intuition, strong ability in creative visualization, keenly perceptive, imaginative

Imbalanced Inner States: Inability to visualize or imaging the future, insensitive, living in denial

Location: Center of the forehead or slightly between and above the eyes

Color: Indigo

So far we have moved from our roots, growing strong and deep into the earth, up into the flowing waters of our emotions and sexuality, to the sunlight of personal power and transformation, into the lush, green forest of unconditional love, to the clear blue skies of communication, and now into the indigo stratosphere of inner sight and visualization.

The sixth chakra, more commonly referred to as our third eye, is located in the center of the brain (and can be exteriorly felt between the eyebrows), and is the source of inner and outer sight and perception. Its primary function, however, is seeing beyond the physical, material realm, and it is the inner visionary aspect of our thought and mental workings of the mind.

Our sixth chakra is often referred to as “the seat of the soul” and is the fundamental source of creative visualization, imagination and psychic ability, as it is one more step into the ethereal and spiritual realms of the chakra system.

Through the process of light perception within our physical sight, we are able to take in the images we see in the outer realm of physical manifestation, and process and store this information in the inner, visionary realm of perception which can be used in the process of creative visualization and imagination.

When our sixth chakra is balanced, we have the ability to clearly imagine and visualize the positive future which we desire. The images and visualization process flows freely, yet is guided by the structure of our choosing through the use of our mental processes. When the brow chakra is imbalanced, however, our visualization processes and imagination can either be non-existent or lack the structured guidance necessary to focus our energy into creating the future we long for – much like a ship out to sea, without a rudder, at the mercy of the wind and storms.

The most important aspect of the sixth chakra is psychic ability, which is within each and every person and can be developed through practice and patience. The third eye allows seeing beyond time and space, giving us the ability to move freely between the interconnectedness of past, present and future, which manifests itself in the form of visions, images and cosmic insight and perception

Rainbow Children
Think of yourself as an incandescent power, illuminated and perhaps forever talked to by God and his messangers…Brenda Ueland
The rainbow children are the third generation of special children that have come to help humanity evolve. Different from the Indigo and Crystal children, Rainbow children have a few more interesting characteristics. The Rainbow children are generally born in the year 2000 and above. In some cases, there might also be a few scouts that came to earth before 2000. The few Rainbow children that are here today are born from early Crystal scouts that were born in the 1980’s.

As the name implies, the Rainbow children come to earth with a few more other spectrum of ray color. They are born on the ninth dimension of consciousness, the dimension of collective consciousness.

As many people might have experienced it, the Rainbow children bring joy and harmony to their families. Unlike the Indigo and Crystal children, the Rainbow child is born to smile, which is accompanied by their huge hearts that are full of forgiveness.

Doreen Virtue describes characteristics of Rainbow children:

· Very few currently incarnated.

· Parents are crystal adults.

· Never incarnated before.

· No karma.

· Do not choose dysfunctional families.

· They are all about service.

· May have big eyes like the crystal children, but they are totally trusting.

· Entirely fearless of everybody.

· Bringing in the healing rainbow energy previously brought through Reiki, QiGong, and Pranic healing and other hands on healing.

Crystal children can also be very high energy, have strong personalities, be creative, and can instantly manifest anything they want or need.

The purpose of the Rainbow children is to complete the final stages of the foundation that the Indigo and Crystal children have made. The three children, Indigo, Crystal, and Rainbow each have a specific task. The Indigo children are to break down the paradigm of the traditional thinking. Then the Crystal children will build their foundation on the broken paradigm. Finally, the Rainbow children are here to build on to what the Indigo and Crystal children began.

Doreen Virtue says, “the Rainbow children are perfectly balanced in their male and female energies. They are confident without aggressiveness; they are intuitive and psychic without effort; they are magical and can bend time, become invisible, and go without sleep and food. The Crystal children’s sensitivities make them vulnerable to allergies and rashes. The angels say that the Rainbow children will have overcome this aspect… Rainbow children have no karma, so they have no need to choose chaotic childhoods for spiritual growth...The Rainbow children operate purely out of joy, and not out of need or impulse. The babies will be recognized, because their energy is one of giving to parents, and not of neediness. Parents will realize that they cannot out-give their Rainbow children, for these children are a mirror of all actions and energy of love. Whatever loving thoughts, feelings, and actions that you send to them are magnified and returned a hundred-fold.”

Rainbow children are already attuned to the world we are moving towards when things will instantly manifest. Humanity as a whole is not there yet, so the mass consciousness grid holds back instant manifestation from being commonplace. A toddler has a hard time understanding that. They feel if they “think” juice, well then juice ought to naturally appear instantly. In higher dimensions this may be true and it will be true here on Earth as well, thanks to the Rainbow kids making it so.

Rainbow Children tend to:

· Have very strong wills and personalities.

· Be very high energy.

· Be very attuned to color and color vibrations around them.

· Have passionate creativity.

· Love bright clothing and colorful environments.

· Bubble over with enthusiasm for everything in life.

· Expect instant manifestation of whatever they think/need.

· Have healing abilities.

· Have telepathy.

The Rainbow children seem to be here to implement the Divine Will and they will use their strong will and energy to build the New World on the foundation of peace and harmony the Crystal children are laying down. The Crystal children are only able to lay down that foundation because the Indigo children have already forged the path and broken down all of the old barriers. They are all-important and have to come in this sequence to accomplish their goals.

Rainbows are highly sensitive, loving, forgiving, and magical like the Crystal children. The difference is that the Rainbows have never before been on earth, so they have no karma to balance. The Rainbows, therefore, choose entirely peaceful and functional households. They don’t need chaos or challenges to balance karma or grow.

As the other Crystal children grow older, they will be the peace-loving parents who birth the new Rainbow children. The Rainbows being born right now are the scouts, and the large influx of Rainbows will occur during the years 2010 through 2030.

Rainbow children are absolutely open hearted, love unconditionally, and have no fear towards any stranger. Unlike the Crystal children who only display affection to people warranting their trust, the Rainbows are universally affectionate. They heal us with their huge heart chakras, and envelop us in a blanket of rainbow-colored energy that we so sorely need. They are our earth angels.

Know Your Chakras: Five

Chakra 5 – The Throat Chakra – Vishudha (Purification)

Element: Sound

Function and Purpose: Communication, Creativity

Obstacle: Lies
Balanced Inner States: Powerful voice, attuned listen skills, honest and clear communication, highly creative

Imbalanced Inner States: Excessive or incessant talking, consistent interruption, poor listener

Location: Throat

Color: Blue

We began in the root chakra – our foundation – and have moved through the sacral chakra (our emotional and sexual center) into the solar plexus (our source of personal power and transformation) and on to the heart chakra (the center of love and compassion, as well as the center of the entire system), and we now enter our fifth chakra, located in the throat.

As we move through the root chakra to the heart, we are based within the physical, material world and as we enter the heart and the remaining upper chakras, we are entering the realm of the ethereal or spirit. This is where we transcend the limitations of the world of form, and begin our ascent into true source and the transformation of finite consciousness toward infinite awareness – and, ultimately, enlightenment. Communication is the vehicle which enables us to move to these higher planes of consciousness.

Our fifth chakra has to do with conscious communication through the vehicle of sound vibrations, creativity and self-expression, individually as well as through any of the arts: acting, writing, painting and dancing, just to name a few.

Without communication, life would cease to exist. This is due to the fact that communication is not limited to self-expression, but is also communication within our bodies, ranging from the synapses and neurotransmitters in our brains which communicates vital information to our organs, glands and enzymes, which ensures our survival, to the management of the information communicated to our millions upon millions of cells.

Without communication we would be unable to share ideas which in turn would stop all forms of invention and, ultimately, our evolution as a species. Everything we have today – from education, medical innovation, technology and spirituality – to every single creature comfort we enjoy and take for granted – started as an idea, was communicated and has become manifest.

Balance Your Fifth Chakra

Whether we live in a high or low vibrational state, our thoughts, feelings, emotions, actions, and the words we choose to speak all directly affect the vibrational frequency and rhythm of our chakras. One of the best methods of transforming low vibrational states, as well as our fifth chakra (and all other chakras for that matter), is through the act of chanting mantras.

Mantras and Chanting

There a literally thousands of mantras and chants spanning from a multitude of religions, cultures and spiritual practices, and each mantra or chant used has its own function and purpose such as protection, inner strength, clarity of mind, or the manifestation of material possessions.

Mantras and chanting are a means for transforming our minds from the negative, repetitive thoughts and behaviors which perpetuate themselves. It is the means of consciously awakening ourselves from the depths of ignorance by focusing the mind with pinpoint clarity towards the transformation of the self, creating the sense of peace and centeredness we all strive for. With mantras and chants, however, we soon discover that there is nothing to strive for, as peace and centeredness have been within us all along, that we have only been looking for it in all the wrong places.

When reciting or chanting a mantra, it is not necessary to understand its meaning for it to have efficacy. The mantra’s sound and vibrational rhythm penetrates our subconscious minds, resonating and restructuring us down to the cellular level and ultimately aligns us, as well as our energy, with the universe. We become synchronized with the rhythm of true source.

However, If we merely chant a mantra with little to no real investment of our entire beings, the effect will be minimal or lackluster at best. But when we invest our total selves, the benefits will be enormous and the manifestations will greatly surprise us on every level.

Affirmations

In today’s world of self-help psychology, affirmations are used to manifest changes in our individual thought patterns. Affirmations can also be used as mantras for growth on all levels. It’s important to note that when reciting an affirmation you should use “I am” before each stated affirmation, which tells the unconscious mind that the change has already taken place, and sets the stage for a greater future.

Shad Helmstetter has written an excellent book, “What To Say When You Talk To Yourself,” in which he shows us that by changing the internal communication with ourselves through awareness and the use of affirmations, we can succeed in transforming all aspects of our lives, and overcome the hurdles that prevent us from doing so.

Creativity

All forms of creative expression is ultimately communication. This type of expression shapes perceptions, cultures and societies. A perfect example on a mass level would be the media, television, and film which has shaped (and continues to shape) our perceptions, negatively or positively, which in turn affects the direction of our culture and society.

In terms of creative expression through art, it is said that art is closer to God than religion. This is because God, or Source, is the creator of all sentient and insentient beings and is contained within us and all things. We are a part of “it” and when we create art we are carrying out the function of the creator without the need of a middle-man (or woman). We are the micro creators within the macro, creating and shaping not only art, but our entire lives.

In short, when we purify ourselves, we increase our vibrational energy, creating a clear connection to true source. Through the use of mantras, chanting and affirmations, we deepen our connection to source and develop the ability to effectively communicate our thoughts, feelings and emotions either verbally or creatively through artistic expression. We become free to be ourselves; comfortable expressing ourselves clearly and fearlessly, moving our way ever upward towards spiritual enlightenment.

The Heart Chakra

Know your Chakras
The Heart Chakra

We began within our root chakra, slowly building our foundation and seeing the separateness of objects within the material world. We then proceeded to balance our second chakra, the sacral, where we learned to attain spiritual unity with another human being through the healthy, pure expression of our sexuality and emotions as well as the source of change. In the third chakra, the solar, we explored the aspects of owning and balancing our personal power as well as its source of transformation where we take creative action in making our wants and desires reality, which now brings us to the center of our being, the heart chakra.

Chakra Four – Heart - Anahata – (Unstruck)

Element: Air

Function and Purpose: Love, balance, self-acceptance

Obstacle: Grief

Balanced Inner States: Peaceful, loving, self-loving and accepting, empathetic, strong immune system

Imbalanced Inner States: Critical and judgmental of self and others, depression, antisocial, fear of intimacy and relationships, narcissistic

Location: Chest, heart

Color: Green

Home Is Where the Heart Is

The heart chakra is the center point of the entire chakra system. Its task: to integrate all the aspects of our personality through the act of pure love from Source, creating a balanced, fully developed, three-dimensional human being.

This chakra is the center of love. This isn’t the sexual love that is associated with the sacral chakra, which is based upon a passionate and physical connecting with another person but is about having a heart to heart connection from universal love with another human being.

This is the type of love that all the masters throughout history have taught and spoken of in order to guide us to the ultimate reality of the oneness, completeness and connection of all people and all things. This love radiates from deep within our soul, fills every cell of our bodies, and is not dependent on anyone or anything external for its survival and existence. Its mere existence is more than enough. It is the love that is eternal, spanning between all time and space, transcending yet integrating past, present and future. There is no beginning to this love, no ending. It merely is, was, and always shall be and is the energy which creates us, binds us and guides us; it is the entity of true source.

The “Search” for Love

So many of us are “seeking” for love, doing so by reading a myriad of books, going to seminars, therapists, signing up on dating sites and responding to personal ads. This type of love which is so vainly sought in our society has absolutely nothing to do with the true love from Source. This “seeking” comes from our egos in order to make up for that which we feel we have lost or lack: self-worth, validation, boredom or loneliness, which often times become co-dependent; it is a selfish and self-serving act under the guise and postings of “looking for love.”

Love from Source transcends our fragile egos and enters and dwells within the realm of spirit. In order for us to be loved we first must give it from the purest place possible with no hope or expectation of return or reward. Love nourishes itself by freely giving of itself. We come to know love from Source when we empathize with another, offer heartfelt compliments and acknowledgement or the act of nurturing, whether emotional or physical.

Yet, most of us were not raised in an environment where cosmic love was nurtured and allowed to flourish. It is our task to learn to access and develop this love which requires energy on multiple levels, one of which is to have all of our chakras balanced and in working order. This is especially true in forming and maintaining all relationships; intimate relationships in particular

Balance your 3rd Chakra

Balance Your Third Chakra

Foods:

Starches are the foods to consume (in moderation of course) for the proper functioning of our third chakra. Whole grain starches are taken into the body and assimilated much slower and more thoroughly than processed flours. That being said, processed flours as well as sugar and/or stimulants should be taken in moderation or avoided, as they will eventually deplete the energy of the third chakra. Sugar addiction can point to an imbalance in the third chakra system.

Exercise:

Anger is a product of a forceful will: wanting it our way and then meeting impediments and obstacles which prevent us from getting it our way creates this state. This anger, as well as all emotions, is stored within our bodies at a cellular level, and builds upon itself over the years. These emotions must be processed in order for our chakra system to work properly. In the context of the solar chakra, we will deal with anger.

First, begin writing your earliest memory of being angry in a notebook, and what age you were. Write who made you angry and why, including being angry with yourself. Do this in chronological order from the first memory until the present. This allows your conscious mind to connect with the energy and emotions of the incidents. Do not worry if you forget something, as you can always go back and heal the memory again. The important thing here is to get the energy moving by getting it on paper.

When done, sit comfortably in a chair, spine erect but not tense, with your feet flat on the floor, and ground yourself with the exercise described in my first article on the Root Chakra. Bring this energy from the root chakra, through the sacral and into the solar (from the navel, just below the sternum). Visualize energy coming from the universe, entering your crown chakra (top of the head), guiding it down into the third eye (middle of the brow), the throat, into the heart, and finally into the solar plexus. Allow these two energies to meet. Experience it. How does it feel? What happens to it when you inhale and exhale? Do you experience emotions or images? There is no right or wrong answer.

Next, bring to mind the incident connected to your earliest memory of anger. This will usually result in the mind trying to escape by thinking of anything but the task at hand. Just gently guide your attention back, over and over again. What eventually happens is that we begin to see the incident in our mind, re-experiencing the feelings and emotions as if it had just happened. (Breathe deeply if the emotion is strong, or stop immediately if you feel you are being consumed. Working with a good therapist is an absolute must if dealing with severe anger or other emotional issues!)

When you feel you have connected to the issue and emotion, bring energy from the universe through the crown chakra down into your heart. Feel the energy expand and your heart grow warm, or whatever the experience is for you when your heart opens. The energy you feel here is the energy and power of perfect love and healing.

With the memory in mind, send this heart energy back to the past, to the incident, forgiving yourself and the people involved, reminding yourself that you, your parents or whomever, were doing the best they could with what they knew at that particular time in their lives – and usually in a state of unawareness. Even after you feel this has been completed for this age and incident, emotions may continue to arise. The support of friends, family, and therapists, as well as psychics, can help see you through the processing of these emotions. Be gentle with yourself. Proceed to the next age and incident only when you feel ready, and all in your own time. If you feel it is difficult releasing some of your emotions, a good idea is to do the second chakra exercises of swimming, taking a long hot bath or just being in a body of water to help with moving blocked emotions (see the Sacral Chakra article.).

I wish you well upon your journey towards the development of your own healthy, balanced will and personal power, using it to face the challenges before you and making the changes necessary in reaching your goals and transforming your life.

Emotions
Emotion is the act of “moving out” the
energy of our feelings through our conscious mind by way of awareness which cleanses and heals the body, giving us the ability to live in a much more open and receptive state, allowing us to truly connect and relate to another human being on all levels; physically, mentally and spiritually.
However, when our emotions are repressed, we become dominated by our unconscious mind, and can create a host of mental issues, creating drama in our lives. We become out of touch with ourselves and our natural state of being. This reflects itself as restrictive and ungraceful movement and a loss of authenticity. When we are in balance and in line with our highest selves, our authenticity and our emotions serve us in receiving vital data and information from our environment and others, allowing us a greater level of sensitivity as well as empathy.

Sexuality
In today’s culture, embracing and celebrating our sexuality is frowned upon, creating imbalances not only within ourselves but also throughout society. In our culture and media, violence is celebrated and has become the norm, divorcing us from feeling compassion and empathy for our fellow man as well as our own humanity. We are bombarded with the images of rape, torture and murder; yet sex and nudity are censored and repressed.
When sexual energy – any energy – is repressed, this energy finds other outlets (usually negative), often in the form of drug, alcohol and sexual addictions, as well as pornography that celebrates the degradation of women, further destroying the sacredness of our spiritual and sexual uniting with another person. Childhood traumas and wounds which damage this chakra on both the emotional and sexual level include physical, sexual and emotional abuse and manipulation, volatile home environments, neglect or rejection from one or both parents, or enmeshment in and growing up in an alcoholic family. It is of the utmost importance to note that when working through wounds and traumas in the sacral chakra – as with any chakra – to do so with a therapist, support group and supportive, nurturing friends or family members, if appropriate.
When the sacral chakra is balanced, we are able to release our inhibitions, which fully opens up our sexuality and our desire for pleasure, which can then be expressed in a healthy, balanced manner. The act of being sensual and making love becomes much more meaningful, pleasurable and sacred, allowing us greater sensitivity, presence and awareness, creating a highly dynamic experience. We come to know and experience true physical connection and unity with another human being on a spiritual plane.

Guilt
Guilt. We’ve all experienced it. It is typically created by choices we’ve made, such as cheating on a spouse, lying, stealing, or any other action which is incongruent with our higher selves. Guilt is an emotion that splinters our personality, dividing body and mind. It is essentially becoming trapped in an ambiguous state, blinding us to the different choices and avenues we have before us, creating a heavy psychic burden which forces us to use the majority of our energy in the attempt to manage or deny these feelings. When attempting to suppress our guilt, the energy is diverted, creating an imbalance in the sacral chakra inhibiting the full, healthy flow of our emotional and sexual expression. Yet by embracing ambiguity, our energy is free to flow into different areas of our lives, thus creating positive change and spiritual awakening.
There is a positive side to guilt though. When these feelings arise, they are a sign that we have crossed certain boundaries, which allows us to see where those boundaries are taking us beyond either-or thinking, and feeling the uncomfortable emotions, which requires courage. This gives us the opportunity to make certain modifications in our actions, behavior and our life in general, creating positive change and opening channels for the further development of spiritual awakening.
Clairsentience and Psychic Ability
Clairsentience is essentially empathy; the ability to tune in and sense another person’s emotions. Most people with untrained empathic abilities tend to take on the emotions of others, leaving them unable to discern what emotions are theirs and which are those of others, often creating volatile emotional states within their psychic field. Developing and balancing the sacral chakra allows the clarity to understand what is our “stuff” and what is that of others. This is why developing a strong root chakra is so vital, as it gives us grounding, which creates a sacred space, protecting us from the often unconscious psychic barrage from other people and our environment.
Psychics and clairvoyants have a much higher degree of clairsentience. Both are intimately related and can be developed in all of us. Without proper guidance, there can be many pitfalls in the emotional, mental and psychic, energetic realms which can only hinder our development. If wishing to develop these abilities, it is recommended to seek guidance from a psychic, not only to avoid these pitfalls, but to understand what is currently blocking you from developing these untapped abilities.
In short, when our sacral chakra is imbalanced, we are ruled by negative emotions and our unconscious mind, as well as a distorted view and unhealthy expression of our sexuality and nature. We end up making bad choices and decisions, creating a dull and restrictive life which inhibits our ability to connect and unite with another human being on all levels.
On the flip side, when balanced, our compassionate and empathic abilities develop to higher levels of action and awareness; our emotions are felt, understood, embraced and processed and our view of our bodies, sexuality and its healthy expression are celebrated, opening us to give and receive pleasure in all areas of our life. We are able to truly connect emotionally and sexually with purity and the lack of inhibitions, allowing us the opportunity to spiritually unite with another, thereby opening us to greater heights of spiritual awakening

Knowing and caring for your Chakras

First Chakra: Muladhara (Root)

Element: Earth
Function and Purpose: Survival, self-preservation, grounding
Obstacle: Fear
Balanced Inner States: Security, stability, being comfortable in one’s body
Imbalanced Inner States: Moody and/or emotionally unstable, living in one’s head (thoughts and fantasies, being disconnected from the body)
Location: Coccyx, perineum
Color: Red
The root chakra, located at the coccyx and perineum, is our first and most important energy center – it is the foundation that all other chakras are built upon. Without this “root support,” we would never be able to open our upper chakras, thus reaching the pure state of spiritual consciousness.
This calls to mind an image of a great tree with its “roots” running deep into the rich, nourishing earth, reaching strong and high to caress the boundless heavens. Much like these trees, in order for us to reach the one true celestial source of pure connectedness with all that is, our roots must also run deep. Without deep roots, we are merely reeds floating atop the ocean, at the mercy of the tides, floating aimlessly through life, unable to choose our own direction and destinies.
When our first chakra is properly cared for and balanced, we are “grounded.” Grounding is the process of opening this chakra and resting comfortably in our bodies.

Our chakras begin to form in the womb. This is also where trust – crucial to the development of the first chakra – is formed. If, however, our trust is betrayed in youth, our first chakra can become imbalanced, creating low self-esteem, lack of boundaries and an overall feeling of not having a right to be here. Healing begins when we become aware of the resultant inner states and behavioral patterns, and decide to change them. To do this, we must regain contact with our bodies – which can be an act of tremendous courage.
Below is a list of foods, exercises and meditations to help bring balance to our first and most important chakra.
Foods
Meats and proteins are grounding foods. This not only includes red and other fleshy meats, but also protein supplements, nuts, tofu, eggs and dairy products. It’s important to note, however, that red meats should only be moderately consumed. Red meat takes longer to digest and can keep the energy contained in the lower part of the body, blocking its flow to the higher chakras.

Exercises
Jumping, jogging and stretching our legs are the best exercises for our root chakra. By engaging in these acts, we are effectively connecting ourselves to the earth, our physical ground. Being close and connected to the earth is an essential part of grounding, and the act of jumping, jogging and stretching brings energy into our legs and lower extremities; the closest areas to the root chakra. Hatha Yoga is also an incredibly powerful grounding practice.

Meditation
Begin by sitting in a chair with your feet firmly planted on the floor. Imagine an invisible cord running through the top of your head, through your throat, your torso and your root. This will help straighten your spine, creating alignment of the chakras and allowing unrestricted energy to flow through them.
Now, close your eyes and visualize your root chakra (the base of the spine) as a red spinning orb of energy. Begin breathing slowly, deeply and deliberately into the chakra. Notice how it feels on each in-breath and each out. How does the energy shift in your body? What do you experience in the chakra? Once comfortable with doing this, bring your attention to your feet. Feel their shape, their heaviness. Now imagine there are roots growing from the bottom of your feet, growing deeper and deeper into the earth, down to its core. Feel the grounding qualities this gentle act brings.
Now begin to draw the energy of the earth from these roots up into your legs, then your knees, into your thighs, into the whole of your pelvis and ultimately your root chakra. Continue drawing in this way, feeding your first chakra with the earth’s grounding energy. Sit with this energy for as long as you like, feeling it grounding you.
When you’re ready, begin visualizing and feeling the energy moving from your root chakra to just below the naval, then into the solar plexus, from here to the heart, from the heart to the middle of the throat, from the throat to the third eye (middle of the forehead), and from the third eye to the top of your head. From the top of your head, feel and visualize the energy reaching to the sky, past the sky, into space and ultimately into your conception of Source.
When you feel this connection, sit with it for as long as you like, and when you are ready, reverse the flow of energy. Take it from Source into your crown (top of the head), back down through each point and then deeply into the root chakra.
Allow yourself the time to sit and feel the pure energy of Source coursing through you. Feel your connection and oneness with it. Feel its beauty, its simplicity, its accepting, unconditional and all-encompassing healing and loving energy. Realize that all of this is you, that Source is you and that when you are grounded in yourself, Source is grounded in you.
Sounds for Foundation
Root Chakra Sound Vibration – 396 Hz
LAM
The fundamental sound for the root chakra is “Lam” which, when chanted, resonates with our foundational energy. It’s important to do this slowly, extending the word so that it sounds like “Laaaaammmm.” While doing so, you can visualize the color red (the root chakra’s corresponding color), while feeling the sound vibration reach your foundational root.
THE C NOTE
The musical note which corresponds to the root is C. This note can be either sung or played on most musical instruments. The most popular method is that of singing bowls that are tuned to the C note. This doesn’t mean that you have to rush out and buy a guitar or a singing bowl if you don’t have one, as there is a vast selection of mp3 and CDs that can be found through the Internet. Remember, it isn’t the method that’s important, but the sound.
MUSIC
Music can calm, inspire, uplift or help us revisit the memories of our youth. It is the soundtrack to our lives. And like our lives, our chakras have a soundtrack of their own.
Our root chakra forms our personal and individual foundations, and the earth is our physical foundation. Both are inseparable, and without either, we would not be here.
Our Planet Earth is millions upon millions of years old. It remembers all things; from her inception to the first spark of human life. We have been connected through the Earth to our long-lost ancestors who first made music and created tribes. In a sense, they are the foundation of the human race.
It’s no surprise, then, that the music which resonates with our roots is tribal; long before speech, survival was the primary focus (the function of the root chakra). Drumming is the most concentrated form of music for our foundational chakra, and it is most effective to do it yourself; alone or in a drum circle. This, however, may not be practical for everyone (or our neighbors!) – and, like the C note, can be done by listening to mp3s or CDs

Indigos and Crystals

WHAT ARE INDIGO AND CRYSTAL CHILDREN AND ADULTS?

How do you know if you, or someone you know, is an Indigo or Crystal Child or Adult? We will describe the main features and characteristics of these people. But we want to stress that the Indigo/Crystal phenomenon is the next step in our evolution as a human species. We are all, in some way, becoming more like the Indigo and Crystal people. They are here to show us the way, and so the information can be applied more generally to all of us as we make the transition to the next stage of our growth and evolution. The Indigo Children have been incarnating on the Earth for the last 100 years. The early Indigos were pioneers and wayshowers. After World War II, a significant number were born, and these are the Indigo adults of today. However, in the 1970s a major wave of Indigos was born, and so we have a whole generation of Indigos who are now in their late twenties and early thirties who are about to take their place as leaders in the world. Indigos continued to born up to about 2000, with increasing abilities and degrees of technological and creative sophistication. The Crystal Children began to appear on the planet from about 2000, although some date them slightly earlier. These are extremely powerful children, whose main purpose is to take us to the next level in our evolution, and reveal to us our inner power and divinity. They function as a group consciousness rather than as individuals, and they live by the" Law of One" or Unity Consciousness. They are a powerful force for love and peace on the planet. The Indigo and Crystal Adults are composed of two groups. Firstly, there are those who were born as Indigos and are now making the transition to Crystal. This means they undergo a spiritual and physical transformation that awakens their "Christ" or "Crystal" consciousness and links them with the Crystal children as part of the evolutionary wave of change. The second group is those who were born without these qualities, but have aquired or are in the process of aquiring them through their own hard work and the diligent following of a spiritual path. Yes, this means that all of us have the potential to be part of the emerging group of "human angels".
